| Corazzo presents the newest addition to our lifestyle line, the Corazzo Club Sweaters, inspired by the club sweaters worn by the riders in the 40’s and 50’s. They are made close to our WHQ in Portland, on knitting looms that have been turning out club sweaters for a century.
The American tradition of two wheeled enthusiast motorsport’s birth came in the early days of board-track racing at places like the the LA Coliseum Motordome. Brave men played on the ragged edge of life, donning goggles, the occasional helmet, gloves, and quite often, their club riding sweater, to chase glory in the face of extreme danger.
Surrounded by the black and white photographs of our early heroes in two wheeled motorsport, our design team strove to both preserve the iconic nature of the Club Sweater, through the lens of Corazzo style. These two Club sweaters are the product of the team's hard work and efforts rewarded.
The “Tricolore”, designed raglan style, with sleeves knit lengthwise for a warm and comfy ride, was inspired by a late fall ride through the Cinque Terre in Italy by Vespa. The slow speeds of the super twisty roads, combined with the cool breeze coming off the bright blue Mediterranean, made it perfect sweater weather, so we made one! The zip collar keeps the cold at bay, while the Underhoody inspired thumb holes keep your wrists warm and cozy on chilly mornings. Adorned with the small Corazzo chest patch, and the Tricolore knit on the sleeve, classic style is ensured while strolling through Riomaggiore.
